It used to be that going rogue brought to mind US politics, but not anymore. The Rogue Wet Bar in Waterfront station gives an entirely new meaning to the phrase. It’s fresh, funky, and has a menu full of mouth-watering food you’ll find yourself heading back for again and again.
Walk in the door and you’ll be greeted by the exceptional staff. Our server Jen was extremely friendly and an asset to the restaurant. The interior is vast, and due to the railway station architecture, has high ceilings that are open yet cozy. There are tall light fixtures and a mixture of brick and hardwood that really makes you feel at home.
But the thing that really sets the Rogue Wet Bar apart is the menu. From fresh burgers to corn dogs, you’ll find an eclectic mix of food and drink pairings that will have you wanting to go rogue every single day.
We started with appies and beer samplers. The Pumpkinator Special Beer was very good, with just the right touch of pumpkin flavor built in. Moving onto the Deschutes Mirrorpond pale ale, we liked it because it tastes like English bitter but with a fruity twist. The Crannog Backhand of god stout had a coffee flavor, whereas the Central Raspberry wheat ale was infused with an almost overwhelming raspberry flavor. (more…)
